| Web pages that have already been proofed or that have been
properly prepared by a user can be entered through our general submit.
This process involves submitting your site to every search engine and
directory that we know of to list your site. As a rule we enter each
page separately and prepare it to be optimized to each search site.
Because of the formats of each search engine we must have the
flexibility to enter as much data as we are allowed. Time tables for
submission acceptance vary however the two basic sites that remain as
late posters are Lycos and Excite. This is not unusual for either of
these two sites as they have maintained this position all the years we
have dealt with them.
Please remember to have proper meta tags, reduce page load by getting
rid of banners. Under no circumstances should any web page have an
"Under Construction" graphic or text. Remove any counters (if
you are new, chances are you have few visitors anyway), as an editor
might believe your web page is unpopular when in fact it's a new site.
Dump any music to be played (it slows page load and the editor may not
like the song!). Once listed you can add anything you want but for now
we want postings.
You will be getting a huge amount of emails, but most of these are
just advertisements. Save only the emails that allow you to modify your
listing. We will constantly adding your site new search engines as we
find them. Under general submit you have a full free year of that
privilege. We will make you aware of any new important changes. You can
